Effective 13 October 2026. This policy covers the Cartella app and getcartella.app, run by Owl Collective, a sole trader in Sydney, Australia ("we"). Contact: getcartella@gmail.com.
Cartella works without a name, email or password. We keep only what the game needs to remember your cards and your streak. Ads are shown by Google AdMob, which uses device data as described below. We don't sell your personal information.
Free users see ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address and ad interaction data to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU and UK), the app asks for your consent first through Google's consent tool, and on iPhone it asks Apple's tracking permission. You can say no and still play; you may see less relevant ads. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
The daily reminder is scheduled on your device. We don't send push messages from our servers.
Game data is stored with our database provider Supabase, in its Sydney (Australia) region. Our service providers (Supabase, Google AdMob, Apple, Google, RevenueCat) process data on our behalf or under their own policies, and some may process it outside Australia.
We keep your game data while your account exists. If you don't open the app for 24 months, we may delete it.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles, and with the GDPR and US state privacy laws where they apply to you. If you're unhappy with how we handled your data, contact us first; in Australia you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Cartella is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has used the app, email us and we'll delete the data.
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and its effective date. Big changes will also be shown in the app.
